Hi,

I have recently purchased the full version of Timesheet. I think that it is a very good app, and will use it daily.

I have been trying to create custom Global Tasks. I am able to add a new name for a task. Can you tell me if the global tasks does anything else beside allow a new name to be displayed?

Thanks.

Hi mgales,

The global task just puts a new task type in the task list when assigning tasks to a time entry.  This keeps you from having to type commonly done tasks frequently (for example, if I had a "Meeting" task type that I wanted to use across all projects).  This feature will probably be used most by people who create projects frequently or clear their time entries frequently.

Hi tmarkley,

You can assign a task to any time entry from the detail screen for that time entry.  To get to the time entry detail screen, tap the total time in the project detail screen (right below the header "Time Entries:"); This will bring you to the time entries list for the project.  In this view, find the time entry that you wish to change the task for and tap it; This will bring you to the time entry detail screen, which allows you to the change the task assigned to the time entry, the start/stop time, adjust the stop time by changing the elapsed time, and add a comment.

Note that the version I'm working on now (3.1) will introduce a quick-details view that will optionally allow you to set these details quickly when pausing a timer.

Hope that helps,
-- Charles

And again about this. If the search engines learn to understand the meaning , the bloggers have poizgolyatsya to be readable and do not like the others.
