I like this app cause it allows the fastest entry of my time categorized by project. The one improvement I'd like to see is less clicks to get to the Entry Details screen or even just the task description. Maybe a button that takes you to your current entry details or a button that opens the task description from any of the screens or a separate list of task entries sorted in entry order without the project. The last would be useful for other things too such as quickly reviewing recent time entries.

I see that adding global task descriptions is on the list of suggestions. I think that would be a great addition too.

Hi Twentecontrole,

Sorry it took so long for me to respond to you, the forum had logged me out and it wasn't showing me new posts.  Anyhow, while you can change the task associated with a particular time entry in the lite version to any of the built-in tasks, the ability to make new tasks is reserved for the the full version.  Hopefully this answers your question.

When I look at the information on your website, it looks like you can also have tasks in the lite version
How can I create/rename tasks in the Lite version ?

Hey Jon,

There isn't currently a way to pause an active entry from the entry list or the entry detail screen.  I've been considering adding a header to the tables in these two views that has the pause/play button and the timer info (such as the table cell in the project detail screen).

Regarding deleting entries, you can currently delete all entries, but you cannot delete entries prior to a certain time.  I will try and work this into the reporting functionality.

Maybe I can already do this, but (a) it would be nice to be able to turn off the timer from the Entry Details or Time Entries screens.  Occasionally I have a timer running and I want to round off that time item, but I need to back out 2 oe 3 screens before I can get to a Pause control.

Also (b) I'd like to be able to do a mass delete of all time entries occurring before a specific period.  I download my time every 2 weeks for reporting, and I don't need to accumulate it in TimeSheet.  And it's too combersome to delete the entires individually.

I've only been using this for about 2 weeks, so maybe there are some workarounds that I don't know about.  If so, please let me know.

Great product - I need to track every minute of my day and this makes it pretty easy.

Hi Jon,

Being able to create new global/project based tasks is a feature that I have yet to add, although it is planned.  If you would like this feature sooner rather than later, please go vote on it in the Suggestions forum (and one other feature, which is highly ranking for you).

I'm glad that your email issue is (at least partially) figured out.  Hopefully the 1.3 release will be approved soon and it won't be an issue at all.

I tried the GMAIL account, which eliminated the extra line feeds in the header and other lines.  User still need to be careful not to insert line feeds in the project descriptions or comments, since they will be transferred to the exported file and mess it up. 

Is there a way to add to the Global Tasks?  There are task categories such as phone calls, meetings, etc that I'd like to be able to add instead of "general".

Hmm - I'll try it with my Gmail account without using Outlook.  That will be a minor PITA since I use Outlook for all of my email, but I can see if it works.  Thanks.

Hey Bob,

As you saw in the other thread, the SMTP feature is in the review process right now (version 1.3).  I haven't added the calculated amount to each row yet in the export, but look for that along with a few other small features in the 1.3.1 update to come shortly.

Good news on v1.3! I'm looking forward to it. I also gave the app a 5-star rating on iTunes, but they haven't put my review up yet. Seems that Apple is running slow during the Holidays (so am I, so I can't complain).
